…SLEEP DEPRIVATION FTW.
23/08/2008
I haven’t slept in thirty hours because I stayed over at Jenn’s last night, and I work 5 to 11:15 tonight. Haaaaahahahaha, this is going to be great.
Last night was freaking awesome; I was so glad to see hubby ♥ and everything was so badawesome.
Monday is Montreal day! Huzzah!
So, tomorrow, HUBBY IS BACK, but that, despite its massive epicosity, is not the only thing making this the most epic Friday. It is booked off, so the Rog cannot steal me away…
1. I wake up, go on a bike ride, shower
2. Bake cookies. Lots and lots of cookies.
3. Bring cookies to Alex’s house somewhere around noon so that I don’t forget them this evening, and the drunkards cannot appreciate their massive deliciousness.
4. Get dressed, pack stuff for the sleepover/BSG/BSG Lite (The Hills…oh god, please don’t judge me)/champagne/pizza night with Jenn and Maja
5. Run a couple of errands, return home
6. Accost Clare some time after she arrives home
7. Meet up with all the ladies; head to Zaphod’s
8. Somewhere around 12, head back to Alex and Jonzo’s partay, drop in, mingle a bit, leave
9. Go to my house, pick up all my sleepover goodies; walk back downtown
10. Meet up with Maja and Jenn; go meet up with Maja’s friends for a bit
11. Possibly drop by Pier 21 to see Jenn’s boy and his friends completely smashed
12. Go to Jenn’s condo to begin the pizza and champagne consumption and awesome show accompaniment.
13. Die sometime in the late morning.
What’s awesome is that a) I close tonight and b) I close on Saturday.
I am so, so, so, so excited for this, holy craps.
I LOVE LIFE.
Also, yesterday was the best day ever…for so many reasons.
Cheers!

That’s what the last few weeks of summer always feel like; finishing up things we’ve started, preparing for the return to our daily grind, taking that last inhale of free air. I don’t know, I’m still super-stoked for it to finish. Hubby is back in a week, alt 101 begins soon, classes are then going to get underway. There is still time for some dilly-dallying, a trip to Montreal, paying a visit to the gallery (The New Man exhibit, ooh), watching an unnecessary amount of movies and one more major impulse buy. I’ve nearly hit my weight goal with the 170 lbs I weighed this morning, so all in all, as the final few grains of sand fall, I can say I’ve accomplished practically everything I’ve wanted to.
I feel like I have aged 15 years over this summer, and am now ready to be uncorked and served with a fabulous meal. I’m rich, with nutty undertones. Tee hee.
…heyo, summer’s speeding up!

I’m watching the fourth episode of 24, and I think I see why people are addicted to this. It’s suspenseful and intriguing, but I’m not quite as drawn in as I could be. It could also be that I’m preoccupied with other stuff, so I’m not entirely into the watching experience, but you know.
Tomorrow is a training shift at the Stittsville location of the Rog, which is going to be pretty lame, but at least I get paid for it. Oh well.
I’ve also begun pre-pre-marathon training so that I can actually become fit and capable of running more than 100 metres before I collapse, dead.
I weighed in at 174 lbs this morning, and indulged in a serious amount of ice cream; however, I walked for about 4 hours with the ladies and on my errands, so I think I burned all of my snackings off. I think. In any case, I’m fast approaching a decent weight, and I feel really good. The only thing that I have yet to get rid of is my aggravating eye twitch. Boo.
Alt 101 meetings are becoming more frequent, and things are really picking up in preparation; I’m so excited to be a guide this year, and to see ALEXISONFIRE at Fedstock! Holy shit. I’ve booked off my work time, and now just need to make sure to sign up for the right activities at the next meeting, in addition to finishing up work on the survival guide and planning snacks for the hike. It’s nice being a part of something, for once!
Clare is back in 17 days!
I have Friday off and am getting my hair done, again! Yay!
Things are still great! Huzzah.
